From April 22nd to 24th, we will be at Ecomed – Green Expo of the Mediterranean, a now established event for institutions, businesses, and sustainability operators in the Mediterranean area.
We return to the fair to take stock of a topic that is of great concern to us: the digitalisation of environmental services, between changing regulations and smart technology.
We'll do it from our stand Hall C1, Stand 154 – bringing solutions and projects born from over thirty years of experience in the water, waste, and energy sectors.
Today, our know-how translates into concrete figures: our presence in Over 300 Municipalities in Sicily and with over 2000 installations in Italy. But above all, it translates into shared paths with territories, managers, and administrations.
Furthermore, we will participate in an important moment of institutional dialogue: the conference organised by the Sicilian Region – Water and Waste Department, dedicated to the Regional Plan and the prospects for waste management, from material recovery to energy production, scheduled Thursday 23 April, during which we will deepen our collaboration with the’SRR Messina Province.
Waste: when regulation becomes operation
This year, we have chosen to focus particularly on the waste sector, which is currently at the centre of increasingly structured regulatory evolution.
In this context, Sikuel positions itself as the connecting element between regulation and technology, supporting the actors in the field in adapting to new requirements, because the regulations are no longer just a reference point, but are directly integrated into the day-to-day management of services.
The transition to Schema IV of the TQRIF and the introduction of Waste Tariff Method MTR-3 (Deliberation ARERA 397/2025/R/rif), to cite only some of the latest amendments, make it necessary to have tools that can guarantee compliance, traceability and data governance capabilities.
E K-Tarip responds to these requests.
With our digital solution dedicated to environmental hygiene service management, we transform regulatory requirements into concrete working tools, allowing in particular to
- Configure and plan services according to the required standards
- monitor and report on operational performance
- To manage the tariff component in an advanced way
Support the preparation of the Economic and Financial Plan (PEF)
At the stand, it will be possible to test these functionalities directly through a Workstation touchscreen, which will present the latest platform updates, along with the dedicated SRR environment for the shared and secure management of tariff data.
The SRR Messina experience: from theory to practice
A sequel to the regulations and operations, as we were saying: an approach that we will examine at the conference on Thursday, 23rd April, entitled “The Regional Plan from Material Recovery to Energy Production. From Sorting and Recovery Platforms to Waste-to-Energy Plants”, organised by the Sicilian Region's Water and Waste Department, with speakers Giuseppe Mondello, Director of SRR Messina, Nino Musca, President of SRR Messina, and Giovanni Corso, Commercial Manager of Sikuel. We will discuss the experience initiated with the SRR Messina Province, a project that saw us working on the reorganisation of the service starting from two key elements: collection and pricing, and which led to the implementation of an integrated information system for the management of pay-as-you-throw waste charges in the 15 Municipalities of Eco-District 1.
A complete ecosystem for environmental services
Alongside the focus on waste, at Ecomed we will be present with our entire range of solutions dedicated to the management of public services:
- K-Water for Integrated Water Services
- K-Fleet for company fleet management
- K-Biomet for the biogas and biomethane industry
This year, once again, our colleagues at WAY will be joining us. We share a very practical approach: integrating software and devices to transform what happens in the field into usable data. WAY's systems, including geolocation devices, AI-powered Dash Cams for documenting road incidents, and wearable solutions like smartwatches for active operator safety, integrate with Sikuel platforms to ensure real-time traceability, efficiency, and control.
ECOMED: an opportunity for discussion
Solutions, projects and operating models. From 22 to 24 April, Ecomed is an opportunity for discussion with sector operators, for sharing experiences gained in the field and for reasoned analysis, in search of an increasingly interconnected approach between regulations and technology in the environmental and energy sector. See you in Catania! Hall C1, Stand 154
