Innovation, environmental sustainability and synergies: Sikuel is among the official supporters of GDG DevFest Mediterranean

Sequel, Maggioli Group company will be present, from 11 to 13 October, at GDG DevFest Mediterranean to be held in Sant’Agata di Militello in the province of Messina. The international event is the most important occasion Sicily to engage, alongside a large and active community of developers and technology enthusiasts, on current topics and future scenarios related to web programming and the world of digital, marketing, and innovation.

This year, a packed programme will accompany the three days with 7 lectures, in which will alternate 35 speakers, 4 CodeLab, 1 Hackathon and DevParty whose proceeds will be donated to the Rotary End Polio Now project.

I DevFest are events hosted worldwide by local Google Developer Groups. This event, which is expected to attract over 1000 participants, is organised by GDG Nebrodi and from Rotary Club Sant’Agata di Militello with the partnership of GDG Palermo, GDG Gela and Women Tea Makers.

Sikuel is among the Official supporter together with Google Italy, strengthening its presence thanks to the intervention of Giovanna Galleno, Developer Relations Community Specialist, Olomedia, Go away Edit, Intel Software Innovator, the Mancuso Foundation and the Patronage of Sant'Agata di Militello Borough Council.

The GDG DevFest Mediterranean it has become over the years a meeting and sharing place for professionals and companies in the sector, developers and students, thanks also to growing participation and the presence of top-tier international speakers. This edition will feature, among others, India's Varun Raj, Google Expert for Firebase, and Japanese scientist and Google engineer. Emma Haruka Iwao which has very recently reached a Guinness World Record for having calculated the most accurate value of Pi in the world which included 31.4 trillion digits.

The presence of Sikuel at the event fits perfectly in line with what is a sight corporate based on synergy with local Sicilian players operating in the digital field.

This edition will also feature a Hackathon which will offer participants the chance to experiment with new technologies, work in teams, and network with industry professionals and businesses. The aim will be to design a module that can be housed on ECHO Marine Station, An eco-friendly marine vehicle from which measurements or samples can be taken, towards the sky or underwater, to conduct research in environmental, faunal, geological, seismic, cartographic, military, archaeological, tourism, and meteorological matters, as well as in the fields of fishing, rescue, and territorial control.

Sequel, company of the Maggioli Group’s booth, will speak, presenting the IT solutions offered by Suite K-TARIP What provides a range of advanced features and services for comprehensive management of the entire active cycle of Separate Collection.
