The amendments to the "Milleproroghe" Decree have been converted into law. (Decree-Law of 30 December 2021, no. 228), including the much-awaited extension for the approval of the 2022 TARI PEF, Tariffs and Regulation.
There is time until 30 April 2022 to complete the drafting of the first PEF TARI according to ARERA's MTR-2.
On Monday 14 February 2022, the Chamber of Deputies approved and published the proposed amendments of the I and V Commissions, where it reads:
After paragraph 5, add the following:
5-until. With effect from 2022, municipalities, notwithstanding Article 1, paragraph 683, of Law 27 December 2013, no. 147, may approve the financial plans for the municipal waste management service, the tariffs, and the regulations for the TARI and the reciprocal tariff by 30 April of each year.
In this way, the estimated TARI revenue by 31 March during the approval of the 2022/2024 Budget for Local Authorities will need to be revised in light of the total obtained from the developed Economic Financial Plan.
