In recent days, a statement from ARERA has sought to clarify doubts regarding the effective full implementation of the new automatic Social Water Bonus recognition system.
In fact, the system has not yet fully taken off, and ARERA explains that these delays are mainly due to certain data processing requirements.
In particular, the statement reiterates that the responsibility for processing personal data relating to the identification of water users to whom the bonus will be applied, as well as related liquidation activities, lies with the water service providers that have territorial competence within ATID (ARERA's Territorial Register).
Therefore, Water Managers accredited to the Sole Buyer's SII Portal will receive from the latter in the coming days a draft “Agreement with the Authority” concerning the assumption of responsibility for data processing. Only after the Agreement has been signed will the data exchange system become fully operational for the manager.
The statement also specifies that Water Operators are OBLIGED to register on the Sole Purchaser's SII Portal, under penalty of the sanctions provided for in Article 2, paragraph 20, letter c), of Law 14 November 1995, 481.
