With the introduction of Citizen's Income and the Pension of Citizenship (PdC) (which is the name adopted by the Citizenship Income for households composed exclusively of one or more members aged 67 or over), established by Legislative Decree 4/19 and converted into Law 26/19, some new features have also been introduced at the level of BENEFITS for economically disadvantaged families:
- It was explicitly provided that beneficiaries of the Citizen's Income would have the concessions relating to electricity tariffs and the concessions relating to compensation for natural gas supply recognised for economically disadvantaged households extended to them.;
- Nothing has been indicated regarding the extension of the Water Social Bonus to recipients of the Reddito di Cittadinanza.;
- The Inclusion Income – Purchase Card, provided for by Legislative Decree 147/2017, Article 9, paragraph 11, has been repealed.

The’Authority Therefore, it intervened for the appropriate modifications to the Integrated Texts relating to Tariff Benefits for Water (TIBSI) and Electricity – Gas (TIBEG), issuing Resolution 165/2019/R/com.
As foreseen by Legislative Decree 4/19 (Citizenship Income) it has extended to all beneficiaries of the Citizenship Income, who make a request, the concessions on electricity and gas tariffs.
With regard to the Water social bonus, The Authority, on the other hand, noting that nothing specific is stated in Legislative Decree 4/19, has provided that the Water Social Bonus be extended to recipients of the Citizen's Income who apply., provided that the ISEE indicator complies with the threshold, already in force previously, of €8,107.50. However, the extension of the Water Social Bonus to beneficiaries of Income Support or Purchase Cards has lapsed.
